Originally from Canada, I arrived in NYC more than 14 years ago to pursue my MFA. I am an arts administrator and artist.
I use both traditional art and everyday materials, including plastic sheeting and masking tape and draw inspiration from Western and Eastern traditions, including geometric abstraction and Islamic art and architecture, including the Ottoman miniature. The work takes form as series of small drawings, artist books, larger mixed media or digitally composed scrims. In the most recent work, I have been creating a series of “fake space” installations, including duct taped in plastic space cum “shelter in place” safe room, a tent city, a miniature landscape and a Lounge style interior design intervention.
